Bought in 2025, I thought the miata may deserve its own page. After a few weeks of owning it, I've been dreaming a lot about modifying and upgrading it since it's a very customizable platform.
The factory wheels are 16" and the tires are 205/45R16. I really like the look of 17" wheels, but it lowers the acceleration. Most people upgrade miatas with 15" wheels for slightly better performance and slightly lower.
However, I think the first order of business would be cleaning & repainting the current silver wheels. Soft wire brush + sandpaper, primer, paint, sealant
I know, boring, but the current ones are carpet and kind of annoying because they slide around. Rubber ones might be nice. These are rubber and cheap ($50).
Some simple bolt-on upgrade might be a quick way to add some coolness with how it sounds. Flyin' Miata's NB muffler?
I reached out to a car painter in Marshfield. He said $8-10k. So I'm not sure if this will ever happen. We like "British Racing Green" (BRG) color with bronze wheels. Pretty unique and eye-catching like this NB:

I asked the same guy (Josh Haebig) South of Marshfield, and he said $400-500 to fix that dent.
